Mike developed a passion for aviation in his early teens; at the age of eighteen he was a Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor. Mike attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned a degree in Aeronautical Science, with a minor in business. While in college, he worked with a leading aircraft broker. From this experience, Mike gained a wealth of knowledge of a wide variety of general aviation aircraft. After college, Mike joined Cirrus Aircraft holding positions in Flight Operations, Flight Training and Sales. He is a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP) and has accumulated over 5,000 hours in Cirrus Aircraft.
On February 2, 2019, Mike passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was an incredible colleague, excellent salesman, and devoted friend to many. He will continue to live on in our memories and hearts. In his honor, we ask that you consider donating to the aviation foundation founded by his family, Michael T. Keefe Youth Aviation Fund.
Michael T. Keefe Youth Aviation Fund
We believe there's no better way to honor Mike's lifelong passion for flying than to ignite that same passion in kids through the Michael T. Keefe Youth Aviation Fund, which supports EAA Youth Aviation Fund's summer camps. With every successful closing, Aerista donates to the fund to inspire and encourage youth to pursue careers in the aviation industry.
We invite you to join us in honoring Mike's legacy by making a donation in his name.
