For this month's observation, all we had to do was copy/paste last month's!! "The market remains healthy. Inventory levels continue to recede from their Spring '25 highs. The total number of units for sale continued to decline MoM. The percentage of the fleet for sale continues to hover in the 5% range, so we think this represents a new normal."

New supply continued its rapid decline last month, and as you see in the graph below, was entirely absorbed by demand. Yet another indicator that we are operating in a very healthy marketplace.

No hangovers here!! January market-wide sales reach 73 units, up 17% YoY. Some had feared a slowdown in demand after the Dec tax benefit hysteria wore off. They were wrong. While Q1 will not match Q4 demand (it never does), 2026 is still starting off well and much better than 2025 did. All told, the market is really healthy, with good balance between strong demand and sufficient supply. Sellers still need to price accurately to attract buyers and buyers trying to steal a plane at below-retail prices are simply SOL.
