Q2 2026 CubCrafters Market Update
Dear Fellow Cub Pilots,
The CubCrafters market continues to show solid momentum heading into the 2026 flying season. While activity has normalized from the post-COVID surge, buyer interest remains strong, especially for clean, well-equipped Carbon Cubs and NXCubs. We’re seeing a steady flow of new listings come to market, but importantly, that supply is being met with consistent demand, keeping the market balanced and active.
AeristaMetrics shows that approximately 7% of the N/X Fleet is for sale currently, and closer to 3% of the Carbon Cub Fleet is for sale. Despite the large delta, both of these numbers are still well within the historically healthy market ranges.
Key takeaways from the current market:
- Increased listing activity: More aircraft are coming to market across all variants, giving buyers better selection than in the past 12–18 months. There are approximately 40 units total for sale between EX/FX and N/X Cub segments.
- Stable pricing: Most Carbon Cubs continue to cluster in the low-to-mid $300,000s, with premium aircraft pushing higher depending on time and equipment. Peak examples are demanding north of 400k, but if the value is right, they continue to move.
- Strong absorption: Well-priced airplanes are moving quickly, often within weeks, showing real, actionable demand for well valued aircraft. These units are typically in the top quartile of value within a respective segment.
- Clear pricing sensitivity: Aircraft priced above market are sitting longer and requiring eventual price reductions to generate traction.
- Ideal time to list is now: Well priced airplanes are moving, and spring is traditionally the best time to get the best value for your airplane!
Overall, this remains one of the more liquid and stable segments in general aviation. The consistent pattern is clear: good airplanes at the right price are trading frequently, reinforcing both buyer confidence and long-term value stability in the CubCrafters space.
