Q3 2026 SF50 Market Update

Hello Fellow Vision Jet Pilots,

Spring is behind us and summer is here. Let’s take a look at the market.

June was an exceptionally strong month for the pre-owned SF50 G2 market with 15 aircraft sold, the highest monthly total of 2026, surpassing February’s previous high of 10 transactions. This brings total G2 sales to 24 units for the quarter, putting us on pace to exceed 2025 sales volumes.

July was a slow month with only one unit across both the G1 and G2 segments coming off the market. Currently, there are 22 G2 aircraft available for sale, consisting of 17 G2+ models and 5 G2 models.

Several factors are contributing to this activity. Inventory levels increased substantially this spring, with approximately 20 additional aircraft entering the market in March and another nine units listed in both April and June and 5 more units in July. As supply increased, sellers became more willing to negotiate pricing in order to remain competitive.

Price change by month (note as supply increased in March, April, and May, prices decreased in May and June. We do not have July’s data yet):

We also continue to see a steady stream of first-time SF50 buyers transitioning from Cirrus SR-series aircraft. These owners are already comfortable with the Cirrus ecosystem, avionics, and brand experience, and are seeking the next step in performance through jet ownership. This buyer segment continues to provide stability to the pre-owned market.

The G1 market remains steady, albeit at a slower pace, with typically 3–5 aircraft available at any given time and averaging approximately one sale per month.

There continues to be tremendous value in the G1 segment, with asking prices often below $1.8 million. Most G1 aircraft now have extensive maintenance histories with many original components having been replaced by updated and redesigned parts. As a result, owners have generally experienced reduced maintenance requirements in recent years and smoother ownership experiences.

Most G1 aircraft now exceed 1,000 hours total time, with many accumulating significantly more. This creates an important opportunity to discuss the value of the JetStream program, as major expenses, including annual inspections, five-year items, and the 2,000-hour hot section inspection, are fully covered. Unlike many piston aircraft ownership experiences, owners can avoid significant out-of-pocket costs associated with major component replacements and overhauls.

Demand for new G3 SF50 aircraft remains strong. Cirrus is officially sold out of 2026 production positions, with the backlog extending approximately two years. There are still limited Cirrus Managed Aircraft (CMA) demo leaseback positions available for Q2 and Q3 of 2027.

The first G3 SF50 has now entered the pre-owned market, although pricing dynamics for this segment are still being established.

Overall pre-owned supply remains relatively low. With 24 G2 aircraft and 4 G1 aircraft currently available, only 26 aircraft are listed for sale out of nearly 800 SF50s produced. This represents approximately 3% of the entire fleet.

Buyers remain active but are increasingly selective and price sensitive, particularly regarding participation in the JetStream maintenance program. Average days on market for sold G2 aircraft are currently around 120 days.

The market remains stable, with both buyers and sellers working to find the right aircraft at the right price. Interest from buyers remains healthy, and transaction volumes continue to improve. Pricing, however, has adjusted downward in many cases to meet buyer expectations and facilitate transactions.

Historically, Q3 serves as the calm before the Q4 surge in activity, and I expect that seasonal trend to continue this year.

If you have any SF50 questions or would like to list your aircraft for sale, I welcome the chance to speak with you.

Safe Flying
