Q2 Diamond Aircraft Market Update

Dear Fellow Diamond Pilots,

As we move through Q2 2026, the Diamond market continues to settle into a more balanced and predictable rhythm. The volatility from the post-COVID surge is behind us, and we’re now in a disciplined, stable market where both buyers and sellers understand the landscape. The short version: demand remains strong, but execution matters more than ever.

Buyers today are informed, selective, and confident. They’re not rushing, but they are absolutely willing to move when the right aircraft comes to market. At the same time, sellers are becoming more aligned with current conditions, pricing more realistically, and preparing aircraft better before listing. That combination is leading to more efficient, straightforward transactions compared with what we saw even 6–12 months ago.

Inventory remains higher than the peak years, but it has started to stabilize and slowly tighten. Well-positioned aircraft with clean logs, fresh maintenance, and strong avionics are still moving in a reasonable 60–120 day window. Aircraft priced above market or lacking proper presentation continue to sit, and buyers are quick to move on.

From a pricing standpoint, we’re not seeing downward pressure so much as we’re seeing less tolerance for stretch pricing. Values across the Diamond lineup have largely held steady from Q1, but negotiations are more direct and grounded in real data.

Model-specific trends remain consistent. The DA40 continues to see steady demand, particularly updated aircraft, while older or less-equipped examples require sharper pricing. The DA42 remains strong, driven largely by training operators, with engine planning continuing to play a major role in every deal. The DA50 RG market is still tight, with limited availability supporting values, and the DA62 continues to perform well, especially clean, low-time examples that attract both private and business buyers.

One of the more notable shifts in Q2 is improved buyer confidence. We’re no longer seeing hesitation driven by uncertainty; buyers understand the market and are acting accordingly. At the same time, sellers are adjusting faster, which helps bring deals together more efficiently.

From our perspective, this is a healthy and workable market. It rewards preparation, realistic pricing, and strong presentation. Sellers who align with those factors are still achieving solid outcomes, and buyers are benefiting from a level of stability.

Warm Regards,
